The Residents’ Association supports various groups set up by local residents that are not part of the Residents’ Association but nevertheless contribute significantly to the area. One such group is the Open Gardens Group. The group organise an open gardens day every two years. The event is usually held on a Sunday between 1.30pm to 6.00pm.

Varied town gardens will be open, some large, some small, but all of interest to garden lovers. Teas and cakes, Pimms, champagne and strawberries, and tombola in various gardens. Plant sales in two gardens.
£5.00 adults, children free. Proceeds to various charities – to be confirmed.
To get event passports, buy a guide on the day from the first garden you visit, eg. 5 Mapperley Hall Drive.
