The MPRA have been lobbying the council hard to continue collecting garden waste during autumn, when most garden waste is generated because of the amount of trees we have. Each collection for Mapperley Park costs half a year’s council tax for one house so we don’t want them to waste visits. What we have managed to achieve so far is getting two collections in November, in Mapperley Park, rather than one by losing one collection earlier in the year. The last normal rotation is on 14th November and then the postponed collection will be on 20th November. The council are putting stickers on bins as a reminder about the last collection date.
